- Feeding the mind, nourishing the soul

Terry Mabery

Have you ever wondered what it must be like to live as royalty? I know. There are not many monarchs anymore, but even to live as part of the royal family in England would be quite a privilege today. In the days when most countries were governed by monarchs, the royal family had every advantage. They enjoyed great riches, the best education, and, most probably, the best of just about everything.

Have you ever stopped to think that you are part of The Royal Family?! We are children of God, joint-heirs with Christ, who is the King of kings and Lord of lords. You have the advantage of every blessing available to those in the royal family (Ephesians 1:3).

He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Ps 24:5 ESV

...you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions;  Ps 45:7 ESV

Thank God today for the blessings awarded you as His child. You are blessed. Live today like you know that. Live today with gratitude.

Advertising slogans catch my attention. Companies trying to put their product out there give us some wonderful sayings and thoughts. One slogan that caught me attention was, “Beyond all expectation.”

I don’t know what would be expected from people with regard to that particular product, but the headline brought a thought to my feeble mind. I look forward to the glories of heaven and living eternally in the presence of the Holy and Majestic God of all creation. The Bible gives many glimpses of the majesty and glory of what that will be like. However, there seems to be reason for me to believe that God has put it to us as best as we can understand, but it will be “beyond all expectation.”

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.  Rom 8:18 ESV

Live today and everyday as if you expect to live eternally with the Holy and Righteous God. Be holy and righteous.
