Some years ago a credit card company used commercials with the following theme. Three or four different items are given along with the cost. Then, the last matter of consideration is given as “priceless.” I would play the commercial in this manner. The price of a magazine - $3.25. The price of a good novel - $24.95. The price of the Good Book with great treasure within - priceless. You probably have several copies of the Bible in your home. That book is the only book that has been on the best seller list year after year for decades. Search the treasure within that book this week and learn better how to live life before God. 

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.  2 Tim 3:16-17 ESV 

What better book could you have. Thank God for providing His Scriptures through which you can learn of the salvation provided through His Son. Meditate on it all week long.

This may be hard for you to believe at my age, but I can still remember back to my childhood. There was a tornado that hit in the neighboring town where my sister and her family lived. Their house was not damaged, but I remember that they were out when the tornado hit. They were in their car, and they drove under the canopy of a gasoline station for refuge. The canopy collapsed and damaged their car, but no one was hurt. 

We are constantly dealing with the storms of life, both physical and spiritual. It is comforting that we can take refuge in God, where there is far greater security than under any canopy. 

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  Ps 18:2 ESV 

Thank God today that He is your Rock, your Fortress, and your deliverer. Trust in Him to deliver you from the evil one today.
